As a CDD user, you’re likely engaged in some exciting and leading/cutting-edge research, that is likely to be published in the world’s leading scientific journals and even submitted as part of patent applications.
Here's how to get files for your chemical structures that are ready for publication
First, click on any structure from the search results table or from a Molecule Overview page. A new box will display showing your structure.
Across the top of this pop-up window, you will see the available image formats. For publications, a vector graphic format such as SVG would likely be most desirable. Click on the format you wish to use. Then you can either:
- click the "Download" link to save this as a file on your local computer, or
- right-click (CTRL-click on a Mac) on the structure and choose to "Copy Image" or "Save Image As".
If you need images for many structures, you may also perform a query in the Explore Data > Search tab and Export your search results table to either the XLS or XLSX format. Your structures will be exported into the resulting XLS or XLSX file in publication-quality vector-graphic format. Simply copy these structure images out of your newly exported XLS or XLSX file.
